About Fan Expo Philadelphia
Fan Expo Philadelphia is a three-day pop-culture convention run by Fan Expo HQ, part of Informa Connect. The 2027 edition is scheduled for May 28–30 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, and the organizer lists attendance at more than 50,000 fans.
The program mixes celebrity photo ops and autographs with comics, anime, gaming and sci-fi programming. Cosplayers can enter the Masters of Cosplay qualifier, part of an eight-city series whose winners compete for cash and a trip to MEGACON Orlando.
The props policy here is stricter than at some sister shows: actual weapons are banned and, as a general rule, metal or wooden prop weapons are not allowed either. Security may send props to the Prop Check Desk for inspection and tagging. An accessibility page explains the services desk and medical stickers.
