About Tekko
Tekko is Pittsburgh's anime, gaming, cosplay and J-fashion convention, first held in March 2003 and now staged in summer at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center on Fort Duquesne Boulevard. The nonprofit Pittsburgh JCS Inc. (PittJCS) presents it. The 2027 edition runs four days, July 22–25.
The program includes panels and workshops, gaming, music, a flea market, a formal ball and a fashion stage. Cosplayers can enter the Masquerade and a craftsmanship competition with judges' awards.
Exposed live steel and sharp edges are not permitted, and any weapon or prop that is swung around or used unsafely will be ruled unsafe and must leave the building. Children 7–12 have a reduced weekend rate. No parking is provided by the convention.
