About Comix Experience
Comix Experience opened on April Fools' Day 1989, when owner Brian Hibbs was 21, and it is recognized as a San Francisco Legacy Business. The store on Divisadero Street concentrates on comic books and graphic novels only; it does not sell Pokémon, Magic or toys and sends gamers to a game store a few doors away.
Its Graphic Novel Club, with plans for adults and children, sends members curated books with signed bookplates and monthly creator interviews. A Pull & Hold service with no minimum keeps weekly comics reserved, and orders can also be placed ahead of final order cutoff for shipping or pick-up.
The shop is not currently buying comics. Returns in the same condition within 30 days, with a receipt, can be exchanged for store credit.
