About SacAnime
SacAnime has run in Sacramento since 2004 and holds more than one edition a year. SacAnime Winter 2027 takes place January 8–10 at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center, Memorial Auditorium and the Hyatt ballroom, with registration in the lower lobby of the Sheraton Grand.
Pre-registration is $60 for the weekend, $26 for Friday and $46 for Saturday; children under 11 get in free with a registered adult.
Security checks every prop and weapon before entry. Live steel is banned whether sheathed or not, as are star knives, metal armor including chainmail, and guns or projectile launchers of any kind, airsoft included. The Cosplay Masquerade on Saturday night is the main stage competition, and closed captioning is offered in the two celebrity panel rooms.
