Empire’s Comics Vault

Empire's Comics Vault is a comic shop on Fulton Avenue in Sacramento run by owner Ben C. Schwartz, who also runs the small-press publisher Continuum Press from the store. The shop mixes comics with hot sauce and is dog-friendly; its pugs are usually there every week.

It carries a wide range of independent titles and a back-issue stock so large that it is not currently buying collections. Board and card games are not sold; customers are pointed to nearby game stores.

Two lounges, one with a 65-inch TV and one doubling as a local art gallery, host a monthly graphic novel discussion group, charity events and community meetings. The shop also holds the Creative Women Mini-Con, which ran in October 2025.
