About Neon Genesis Evangelion
The Neon Genesis Evangelion manga was written and drawn by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, the original character designer of the anime. It started before the TV series aired and was meant as a companion adaptation of it.
Kadokawa Shoten ran it in Monthly Shōnen Ace from December 1994, then moved it to Young Ace, where it finished in June 2013. It is complete in 14 volumes, each made up of chapters called stages. Viz Media publishes it in English.
The wider franchise includes the TV anime by Gainax and Tatsunoko Production, The End of Evangelion and the four Rebuild of Evangelion films (2007–2021).
