Gintama

Gintama is set in an Edo-period Japan taken over by aliens called the Amanto. It follows Gintoki Sakata, a samurai who runs an odd-jobs business called Yorozuya with his friends Shinpachi Shimura and Kagura.

Hideaki Sorachi serialized it in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump from December 2003 to September 2018, then in Jump Giga, and finished it on the Gintama app in June 2019. It is complete in 77 volumes. Viz Media published it in English as Gin Tama.

Sunrise's 367-episode anime aired from 2006 to 2018, and the film Gintama: The Very Final came out in 2021.
