About DesignedBy3D
DesignedBy3D is a cosplay studio with around 15 builders, artists and makers that creates custom costumes and props from movies, games and books. Its range covers high-tech and fantasy costumes, weapon replicas, helmets, hats and capes, full-face and silicone masks, and visored helmets, with moving parts, sound and lights possible.
Clients fill out a form with a reference image, discuss details and payment, then order through a custom link on the site. Work-in-progress photos are available during production. The studio says it does not make low-priced, mass-market costumes, and that production plus shipping takes at least four to five weeks for the smallest piece.
Pieces are made to the client's measurements and ship worldwide with tracking, usually taking 8 to 20 days in transit; most clients are in the US, Canada and Europe.
