Comic Book Hideout

Comic Book Hideout is a community comic shop on West Commonwealth Avenue in Fullerton. Owner Glynnes grew up selling comics on the Southern California convention circuit, including twice-weekly shows and San Diego Comic-Con, before opening the store.

Shelves hold new and classic comics, trade paperbacks, graphic novels, magazines and complete sets, plus Magic, Pokémon, role-playing and board games. Staff will search an inventory of more than 100,000 back issues for a want list, and there is a $1 bargain section.

Pull boxes have no membership fee and no minimum, special orders cost nothing extra, and pulled books come with free bags and boards. Glynnes, who has more than 25 years in the business, buys and appraises collections by appointment.
