About ElseWhere Comics
ElseWhere Comics & Collectibles in Blue Island grew out of the owner's comic subscription business, which started on weekends in the early 1970s and became a storefront in the early 1990s. It serves the South Side of Chicago and the south suburbs.
The shop specializes in comics, Magic: The Gathering, HeroClix, RPGs and vintage toys, and says it has one of the larger back-issue collections in the Chicagoland area. Its website also lists vintage books, pulps, lunch boxes, sports and non-sports cards and other collectibles.
A discount comic subscription service is available, pre-orders are discounted, and the website includes a buylist for items the shop wants to buy. Opening hours are limited: Wednesday to Friday afternoons and Saturdays.
