About Anime Midwest
Anime Midwest is a family-friendly, three-day anime convention in Rosemont, Illinois, next to O'Hare and about 25 minutes from downtown Chicago. It has run since 2011 and is presented by AnimeCon.org. The 2027 edition is July 2–4 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center.
Three-day tickets start at $40 and rise in steps to $70 in the final weeks; a Platinum ticket is $150. Parking at the center is $20 a day.
Swords are allowed if they are tied shut in a sheath or made of wood or plastic, and may only be used for still poses. Large props can be sent back to your room if crowds get heavy. The Saturday mainstage cosplay contest feeds into AnimeCon.org's Cosplay World Crown.
