About QC Anime-zing!
Anime-zing!, often called QC Anime-zing!, is a three-day Quad Cities anime convention organized by AnimeCon.org. It is held at the Holiday Inn in Rock Island, Illinois, and the 2027 edition, its 14th annual event, is August 6–8.
Prices are low: a full three-day ticket starts at $15 and rises to $30 near the show, single days are $10, and a Platinum badge is $125. The convention has also given free admission to underprivileged youth, community members and local teachers.
More than half of attendees cosplay, and the mainstage Grand Cosplay Contest headlines the weekend. Swords are allowed only if tied shut in their sheath or made of wood or plastic, and they may be used for still poses but never swung.
