Akron Comicon

The Akron Comicon was founded in 2012 by Bob Jenkins and Michael Savene to celebrate newspaper comics and comic books as an American art form. Local creators Dan Gorman and Jason Miller bought the show through Altered Realm Productions in 2019 and kept its fans-first, family-friendly approach.

The 2026 edition runs November 7–8 at Emidio's Expo Center in Cuyahoga Falls, open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. The 2026 guest list includes comic writers and artists as well as several actors, and the show has always made a point of featuring local talent.

A Cosplay Contest is held on Saturday from 5 to 6 p.m. The convention describes itself as a nonprofit and supports the Hero Initiative, a charity that helps comic creators in need.
