About Matsuricon
Matsuricon is a nonprofit anime, gaming, cosplay and Japanese pop culture convention in downtown Columbus, first held in 2006. It describes itself as the largest nonprofit convention in Ohio. The 2027 edition runs September 2–5 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, with official hotel blocks in the surrounding convention district.
An early-bird full-weekend badge covering Thursday through Sunday costs $65 before fees, and a Gold badge with early room access and other perks is $150.
The 2027 Masquerade carries a Garden Masquerade theme and runs alongside a Cosplay Showcase. Live steel, firearms, pyrotechnics, glitter and thrown objects are banned on stage. Accessibility Services works from the Knox room of the Hyatt and can arrange accommodations before and during the weekend.
