About Anime NebrasKon
Anime NebrasKon is the Omaha and Council Bluffs metro area's anime convention, sponsored by the nonprofit Nebraska Japanese Animation Society. It started in 2004 and spent its first 15 years in Nebraska; after its old venue was sold and torn down in 2020, it moved across the river to the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The next edition is October 15–17, 2027.
Three-day badges were $60 online early and $65 later or at the door, with a $55 rate for groups of eight or more.
Programming includes industry guest panels, video and tabletop gaming, a charity auction and a Main Stage Cosplay Contest judged on craftsmanship and skill level. Live steel and real weapons are not allowed in the contest.
