About Fan Expo Denver
Fan Expo Denver was founded in 2012 as Denver Comic Con, a fundraiser for the nonprofit Pop Culture Classroom, and was renamed after Informa's Fan Expo acquired it in 2021. The 2027 show runs four days, July 2–5, at the Colorado Convention Center, and the organizer lists attendance at more than 110,000 fans.
Cosplayers can compete in Masters of Cosplay: The Rocky Mountain Qualifier, which offers $1,000 and a trip to MEGACON Orlando. Entries are capped at 45 across three divisions, selected from online registrations, with no on-site sign-up.
The props policy bans actual weapons and, as a general rule, metal or wooden prop weapons; security can send props to the Prop Check Desk for inspection and tagging. An accessibility page covers the services desk and medical stickers.
