About Heartstopper
Heartstopper is a coming-of-age LGBTQ romance written and illustrated by Alice Oseman. It tells the story of Charlie Spring and Nick Nelson, two British teenage boys at the fictional Truham Grammar School in Kent, as they meet and fall in love.
It began as a webcomic on Tumblr and Tapas in September 2016, and its final panel was posted in April 2026. After a Kickstarter-funded first printing, Hachette Children's Group took on the print rights in 2018 and published six volumes between 2019 and July 2026, with Volume 6 closing the story.
Netflix's series premiered in April 2022 and ran three seasons. A concluding film was released on Netflix on July 17, 2026.
