About Urusei Yatsura
Urusei Yatsura follows Ataru Moroboshi and the alien Lum, who believes she is his wife after he accidentally proposes to her. The series leans heavily on Japanese mythology, culture and puns.
Rumiko Takahashi serialized it in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday from August 1978 to January 1987, and its 366 chapters fill 34 volumes. Viz Media released part of it in the 1990s, then published a new omnibus translation from 2019 to 2023.
Kitty Films' 194-episode anime aired from 1981 to 1986, and David Production made a 46-episode series that aired from 2022 to 2024.
