About Anime Detour
Anime Detour has been held since 2004 and calls itself Minnesota's largest and longest-running anime convention. Anime Twin Cities, Inc., a nonprofit, presents the three-day event at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis on Nicollet Mall. The 2027 edition is March 26–28.
Adult three-day badges cost $60 before September 30, $70 through December and $75 until March 1, then $80 at the door; teens and children pay less.
Swords and sharp knives must stay sheathed and peace-bonded at all times, even during photos, while non-sharp, non-metal replicas are fine. Anything that fires a projectile, plus skates and hoverboards, cannot be used in the hotel. The Cosplay Masquerade is the main costume competition.
