About Anime USA
Anime USA is a Northern Virginia anime convention first held in 1999. It now takes place at the Westfields Marriott Washington Dulles on Conference Center Drive in Chantilly, and the 2026 edition is November 20–22.
A regular full-weekend membership is $80, and a Silver membership, limited to 500 people, is $100 with extras such as priority entrance.
The convention reminds visitors that the area near the capital has strict weapons laws. Live steel is not permitted and real metal swords are banned, while swords made of wood or plastic are allowed; professional or compound bows are not, and arrows may never be nocked. The Cosplay Masquerade is the stage show, and from 2026 craftsmanship judging moved into a Craftsmanship Competition of its own.
