About Central Florida Comic Con
Central Florida Comic Con is a January convention at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland, Florida, held every year since 2019. It is owned by Ben Penrod, who founded Awesome Con and several other regional comic cons and has run conventions full time since 2011. The 2027 edition runs January 15–17, and the program covers comics, toys, TV, film, art, cosplay and games.
Tickets are sold through Tixr. Kids' tickets for ages 2 to 13 cost $10.69 and cover the whole weekend, and discount codes frequently make them free.
Costume weapons must be made of cardboard, foam or similar light material. Realistic or functional guns, metal-bladed weapons, props of metal, wood or glass, whips and blunt weapons are banned. The cosplay page lists the weekend's costume contests.
