About El Paso Comic Con
El Paso Comic Con is West Texas's spring comic and pop culture convention, held at the El Paso Convention Center on Civic Center Plaza. The 2027 edition is set for March 5–7, and the site advertises free general admission on Friday from noon to 7 p.m. thanks to a sponsor.
There are two free costume contests: an Adult contest on Saturday afternoon and a Juniors contest for ages 17 and under on Sunday. Both pay $300, $100 and $50 plus trophies to the top three, and entries are day-of only with a valid ticket for that day.
Props are inspected and tagged daily near Security. Functional or sharp props are banned, replica projectile props must be disabled and brightly capped, and realistic first-responder costumes are not allowed.
