About Fan Expo Dallas
Fan Expo Dallas started in 2002 as Dallas Comic Con and is now one of the Fan Expo HQ events run by Informa Connect. The 2027 edition takes place June 11–13 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, and the organizer lists attendance at more than 65,000 fans.
The cosplay program includes Masters of Cosplay: The Lone Star Qualifier, where the winner takes $1,000 and a trip to MEGACON Orlando, along with a no-pressure Cosplay Red Carpet, a Kids' Cosplay Red Carpet, meetups and a photo park.
Real weapons are banned and, as a general rule, so are metal prop weapons; security may send props to a Prop Check Desk for inspection and a visible tag. Attendees who need help can use the Accessibility Services Desk, which has its own queue for buying or redeeming tickets.
