About Grand Rapids Comic-Con
Grand Rapids Comic-Con was started by Mark and Jennifer Hodges, whose first one-day show on October 12, 2013 drew almost 10,000 people. After a year at the DeltaPlex it moved to DeVos Place in downtown Grand Rapids in 2015, and the organizers have since added a summer show and Kalamazoo Comic-Con. The next Grand Rapids edition runs November 13–15, 2026.
A 3-day adult pass costs $80 plus Ticketmaster fees ($99.25 total), a Friday adult pass is $35 plus fees, kids 5 to 12 pay less, and children under 5 are always free.
Costume weapons must be visibly fake and made of soft materials such as plastic, foam or rubber; metal weapons are not allowed and guns need an orange tip. Cosplay contests are held on Saturday and Sunday.
