About Motor City Comic Con
Motor City Comic Con was founded in 1989 by comics retailer Michael Goldman and is run by Motor City Conventions. It has been held in Novi, northwest of Detroit, since 2005, now at the Vibe Credit Union Showplace. The next show runs November 13–15, 2026.
Adult tickets (ages 13 and up) cost $38 for Friday, $48 for Saturday and $43 for Sunday, or $105 for the weekend, and a VIP Fan Pass is $285; a processing fee is added to each. Photo ops and merchandise are sold separately.
All props and weapons are inspected at a Weapons Check station near the entrance and tagged if approved. Props must be non-functional, with no sharp edges or points, firearms must be visibly fake, and Nerf-style launchers must be fully inoperable. The show also publishes an ADA policy.
