Kanpai!Con

Kanpai!Con is a community-focused Japanese culture convention in Omaha, Nebraska, centered on anime, manga and Japanese video games. AnimeCon.org organizes it, and the 2027 edition is March 26–28 at the Hilton Omaha on Cass Street downtown.

Full three-day tickets are inexpensive and rise in steps toward $40; single days are $20 and a Platinum badge is $125. Teachers, school nurses and some public-service workers can request free admission by email at least 10 days before the show.

The mainstage Grand Cosplay Contest awards Best in Show and category winners, who receive free admission the following year. Swords are allowed only if tied shut in their sheath or made of wood or plastic, and they can be used for still photos but never swung.
