About Rose City Comic Con
Rose City Comic Con was founded in 2012 by Ron and Paula Brister and has been produced by LeftField Media since 2017. It is held each September at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland; the latest edition ran September 11–13, 2026, and 2027 dates had not been posted when checked.
Badges are sold online and at the on-site registration desk, but badge types that sell out online are not offered at the door, and all badges are non-refundable. Kids' badges cover ages 3 to 12, children 2 and under get in free, and active military, reservists and guard members receive $5 off with ID.
Only simulated or costume weapons are allowed as part of a costume, and real swords, bats, shields and heavy staffs are banned. The weekend includes a Cosplay Competition, and the room is cleared beforehand for contestant rehearsal.
