About Sakura-Con
Sakura-Con is the Pacific Northwest's long-running anime, manga and gaming convention, held each spring at the Seattle Convention Center since 1998. The Asia-Northwest Cultural Education Association, a 100% volunteer 501(c)(3), runs it as a membership event. The 2027 edition is March 26–28.
Memberships are sold online only. Pre-registration for 2027 started at $80 and steps up to $125 closer to the show, with discounts for children and military families.
Firearms, switchblades and functional projectile weapons are banned. Other prop weapons must be inspected and peacebonded at the designated table, which requires government photo ID; bladed metal props must stay sheathed and bows must be unstrung. Programming includes a Cosplay Contest and Cosplay Chess.
