About The Iron Forge
The Iron Forge is a two-person, husband-and-wife prop shop based just outside Orlando, Florida. It hand-makes wearable helmets and masks, many of them Mandalorian designs, starting from film and comic concepts, customer ideas or original designs.
Buyers choose a finish level: a raw DIY kit, a kit with the visor already installed, a primed or base-painted helmet ready to wear, or a fully custom piece. Helmets are cast from two resin formulas, with an impact-resistant outer layer and an inner layer rated to 250 degrees to resist warping, and visors are smoked acrylic.
The FAQ lists the dimensions of each helmet and explains how to take an ear-to-ear head measurement against a door frame to check fit. Because each piece is handmade, the shop asks customers to allow time for production.
