About Something Is Killing the Children
Something Is Killing the Children is a horror series written by James Tynion IV and drawn by Werther Dell'Edera, with interior colors by Miquel Muerto. It centers on Erica Slaughter, a member of the Order of St. George who hunts monsters that kill children, starting in the Wisconsin town of Archer's Peak.
Boom! Studios launched it in September 2019 as a monthly book. Nine trade paperbacks are out, with a tenth due in December 2026, and the world has grown through House of Slaughter and several one-shots.
A Netflix series was in development for years before the option lapsed in 2024. Blumhouse acquired the rights in October 2025, planning a live-action film and an adult animated series.
