About The Umbrella Academy
The Umbrella Academy is a superhero and science fantasy comic created by writer Gerard Way and artist Gabriel Bá. Forty-three superpowered infants are born to unconnected women around the world, and Sir Reginald Hargreeves, an extraterrestrial posing as a famous entrepreneur, adopts seven of them. The series follows that dysfunctional family.
Dark Horse Comics publishes it as a run of limited series: Apocalypse Suite (2007–2008), Dallas and Hotel Oblivion, with a fourth volume, Plan B, starting in June 2025. Three main-series collections are out, plus the spin-off You Look Like Death. Apocalypse Suite won the 2007 Eisner Award for Best Limited Series.
Netflix's live-action series ran from 2019 to 2024.
