About Kick-Ass
Kick-Ass is a superhero and crime franchise created by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr., built around costumed vigilantes without superpowers. The original story, later labeled The Dave Lizewski Years, was published by Marvel Comics from 2008 to 2014.
The franchise moved to Image Comics in 2014. Kick-Ass – The New Girl and a Hit-Girl series with rotating creative teams both started in February 2018, followed by the five-issue Kick-Ass vs. Hit-Girl in 2020.
Matthew Vaughn directed and co-wrote the 2010 film Kick-Ass, and Jeff Wadlow wrote and directed Kick-Ass 2 in 2013.
