Image Comics

Image Comics is an American independent comic book publisher based in Portland, Oregon. Seven popular artists, among them Todd McFarlane, Jim Lee and Rob Liefeld, founded it in 1992 so creators could publish their own work without giving up the copyrights.

It is the third-largest direct-market comics publisher by market share. Well-known titles include Spawn, The Walking Dead, Saga, Invincible, Monstress and Radiant Black. Early output came mostly from the founders' studios, and imprints such as Skybound, Top Cow, Todd McFarlane Productions and ShadowLine still publish through Image, alongside creators working in many genres.
