Saga

Saga is a space opera and fantasy series written by Brian K. Vaughan and drawn by Fiona Staples, who co-owns the book. It follows Alana and Marko, a couple from two long-warring alien races, as they flee both sides of a galactic war while raising their daughter Hazel, who sometimes narrates as an unseen adult.

Image Comics launched it in March 2012 and published it monthly until a break that began in July 2018. It returned in January 2022 on an irregular schedule. Vaughan has described a planned 108-issue run, and twelve trade paperbacks are out, the latest from April 2025.

The series has won the Hugo Award for Best Graphic Story twice, along with many Eisner and Harvey Awards. There is no screen version, and the creators have said they are happy for it to stay a comic.
