Lazarus

Lazarus is a dystopian science fiction comic written by Greg Rucka and drawn by Michael Lark, with colors by Santi Arcas. The world has been carved up among sixteen rival families who run their territories as feudal domains, and each has a trained and modified warrior, called a Lazarus, to fight for it. Forever Carlyle is the Lazarus of the Carlyle family.

Image Comics published the series monthly from 2013 to 2018, then quarterly until 2022, and the Lazarus: Fallen issues followed in 2025. Eight trade paperbacks are out, the newest in January 2026.

Legendary Television bought the screen rights in 2015, and Amazon Studios was reported in 2017 to be developing a series.
