About Naruto
Naruto follows Naruto Uzumaki, an isolated young ninja who wants his village to recognize him and dreams of becoming its leader, the Hokage. Masashi Kishimoto wrote and drew all of it.
The story ran in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump from September 1999 to November 2014. Its 700 chapters are collected in 72 volumes, split into a pre-teen part (volumes 1–27) and a teenage part (volumes 28–72). Viz Media publishes the English edition.
Pierrot adapted the manga into two anime series, Naruto and Naruto: Shippuden, which together aired from 2002 to 2017.
