About Soul Eater
Soul Eater takes place at the Death Weapon Meister Academy and follows teams made up of a weapon meister and at least one partner who can turn into a weapon. To make a weapon into a Death Scythe for the academy's headmaster, Shinigami, each team has to collect the souls of 99 evil humans and one witch, in that order.
Atsushi Ohkubo serialized it in Square Enix's Monthly Shōnen Gangan from May 2004 to August 2013. It is complete in 25 volumes. Yen Press publishes the English edition, and Square Enix has released a Perfect Edition.
Bones' 51-episode anime aired on TV Tokyo from 2008 to 2009. Ohkubo's later Fire Force is its prequel.
