About Inuyasha

Inuyasha follows Kagome Higurashi, a middle school girl from modern Tokyo who falls through a well at her family's shrine into the Sengoku period and meets the half-demon Inuyasha. When she accidentally shatters the Shikon Jewel, the two set out to recover its fragments with the monk Miroku, the demon slayer Sango and the fox demon Shippō.

Rumiko Takahashi serialized it in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday from November 1996 to June 2008. It is complete in 56 volumes, published in English by Viz Media.

The anime ran from 2000 to 2004, and Inuyasha: The Final Act finished the story from 2009 to 2010.
