About Ranma 1/2
Ranma ½ follows Ranma Saotome, a teenage martial artist who, after an accident on a training trip, turns into a girl when splashed with cold water and back into a boy with hot water. His search for a cure keeps getting derailed by friends, rivals and several fiancées.
Rumiko Takahashi serialized it in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday from August 1987 to March 1996, and it is collected in 38 volumes. Viz Media publishes it in English as Ranma 1/2.
The first anime TV series began in April 1989, and a new anime series premiered in 2024.
