About Golden Apple Comics
Golden Apple Comics is a long-running comic shop on Melrose Avenue, beside a parking lot and near a Hollywood tour-bus stop. It won the Will Eisner Spirit of Comics Retailer Award in 1994.
New books arrive every Wednesday from the big publishers and independents. A free pull box service holds titles for in-store pick-up, or ships them to customers who cannot get to the shop. Graphic novels, hardcovers and manga ordered online are bought to order and take one to three weeks.
The shop is best known for signings; past guests listed on its site include Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Neil Gaiman and Kevin Smith. It buys single items and full collections, from Golden Age books to statues and cards, and offers consignment for valuable keys.
