About HeroesCon

HeroesCon was founded in 1982 by Shelton Drum, owner of the Charlotte comics shop Heroes Aren't Hard to Find, and keeps a comics-first, family-friendly focus. The 2027 show, billed as its 45th anniversary, runs June 11–13 at the Charlotte Convention Center.

Tickets for 2027 go on sale November 27, 2026. A 3-day advance pass costs $75, and a VIP early-bird 3-day pass at $165 is capped at 500 and adds an hour of early entry, a T-shirt, a print and a tote bag. Attendees 16 and under get in free with a paying adult.

Cosplay is welcome, but the show deliberately holds no costume contest. Metal prop weapons, baseball bats, swords and Wolverine-style claws are not allowed, and every prop weapon must be approved and tagged under the convention center's weapons rules.
