Ichibancon

Ichibancon is a January anime convention in Concord, North Carolina, held at the Embassy Suites Hotel Concord. The 2027 edition runs four days, January 7–10.

Parking at the Embassy Suites costs $8 a day whether or not you stay there, and a free overflow lot is offered across the street. Main events include the cosplay contests, guest concerts, a formal ball, a flea market and a craft fair.

The cosplay program pairs performances with a Cosplay Fashion Show Walk for pre-judged craftsmanship entrants and walk-ons, followed by an awards ceremony for Performance and Craftsmanship. The accessibility program has two tracks, one for mobility or physical needs and one for medical alerts, and follows the ADA. Roller skates and hoverboards are not permitted.
