About Ohayocon
Ohayocon is a winter anime convention in Ohio that dates to 2001. After years at the Dayton Convention Center, the 2027 edition moves to The Plaza Hotel at Capital Square in downtown Columbus, January 29–31, so attendees staying in the block are an elevator ride from the events.
A three-day badge for 2027 is $58, and Bronze, Silver and Gold VIP packages ($105 to $165) can be added. The hotel block rate is $149 a night plus tax.
Cosplayers can apply for the Masquerade or the Craftsmanship and Exhibition Costume Contest, which has Novice, Journeyman and Master divisions plus Best in Show. Contest props must be non-functional, and sharp edges, flames, liquids and pyrotechnics are not allowed on stage.
