About East of West
East of West is a science fiction Western written by Jonathan Hickman and drawn by Nick Dragotta, with colors by Frank Martin. It casts the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse as heroes in a dystopian 2064 United States, in an alternate timeline where the Civil War never ended and the land split into the Seven Nations of America.
Image Comics published the series from March 2013 until it concluded in December 2019 after 45 issues. It is collected in ten numbered trade paperbacks, plus larger Apocalypse editions and a compendium.
Amazon Studios and Skybound announced a TV series in 2018, but Hickman said in 2019 that it was no longer in development.
