About Hellblazer
Hellblazer is a horror and occult detective series starring John Constantine, a streetwise English sorcerer and con man created by Alan Moore and Stephen R. Bissette, who first appeared in Swamp Thing #37 in 1985. Jamie Delano wrote the opening run, with John Ridgway on art.
DC Comics launched the series in January 1988 and moved it to Vertigo in March 1993. The original run lasted 300 issues, ending in February 2013. Constantine returned in a 2019–2020 revival under DC Black Label and in Hellblazer: Dead in America in 2024.
The 2005 film Constantine loosely drew on the Dangerous Habits arc, and NBC aired 13 episodes of a Constantine series in 2014.
