About Tokyo Mew Mew

Tokyo Mew Mew follows five girls infused with the DNA of endangered animals, which lets them transform into Mew Mews. Led by Ichigo Momomiya, they defend Earth from aliens who want to reclaim it.

Reiko Yoshida wrote and Mia Ikumi drew it for Kodansha's shōjo magazine Nakayoshi from September 2000 to February 2003, and it is collected in seven volumes. A two-volume sequel, Tokyo Mew Mew à la Mode, followed. Tokyopop published the first English edition; Kodansha Comics publishes the current one.

Pierrot's 52-episode anime aired from April 2002 to March 2003, and Tokyo Mew Mew New premiered in 2022.
