Cardcaptor Sakura

Cardcaptor Sakura follows Sakura Kinomoto, an elementary school student who accidentally frees a set of magical cards and has to collect them again before they cause disaster.

The artist group Clamp serialized it in Kodansha's shōjo magazine Nakayoshi from the June 1996 to August 2000 issues, and Kodansha collected it in 12 volumes. Tokyopop and Dark Horse released earlier English editions; Kodansha Comics publishes the current one, including a Collector's Edition. A sequel, Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card, ran from 2016 to 2024.

Madhouse's 70-episode anime aired on NHK BS2 from April 1998 to March 2000.
