About Trigun
Trigun is set on the planet No Man's Land and follows Vash the Stampede, a famous gunman with a huge bounty on his head who keeps getting chased by bounty hunters. Nightow built it from his love of Westerns and gave Vash a pacifist streak.
It first ran in Tokuma Shoten's Monthly Shōnen Captain from 1995 until the magazine folded in 1996, then continued as Trigun Maximum in Shōnen Gahōsha's Young King OURs from 1997 to 2007. Shōnen Gahōsha collects the first part in two volumes (originally three from Tokuma) and Trigun Maximum in 14. Dark Horse Comics publishes it in English.
Madhouse's 26-episode anime aired in 1998, and Trigun Stampede followed in 2023.
