About Howling Pages
Howling Pages is a graphic novel, indie comics and printed art shop on North Milwaukee Avenue on Chicago's Northwest Side. Its sections cover European comics, manga, horror, crime, kids and YA, art books, out-of-print books and small-press or self-published work.
The shop runs an Indie Comix Blind Box subscription: buyers choose a theme, a small, medium or large box and a three- or six-month term. It also takes special orders and pre-orders through a form on its website.
Howling Pages buys used graphic novels in good condition, small-press comics from any era, pulps and fanzines, but not single issues from large mainstream publishers. Events include book launches, art shows and a monthly sober drink-and-draw on Saturday afternoons. It is closed on Mondays.
