About Vagabond
Vagabond is a fictionalized account of the life of the swordsman Miyamoto Musashi, based on Eiji Yoshikawa's novel Musashi.
Takehiko Inoue writes and draws the series, which began in Kodansha's Morning in September 1998. Its chapters fill 37 volumes, and Viz Media published all 37 in English by April 2015. The manga has been on indefinite hiatus since May 2015.
Vagabond won the 24th Kodansha Manga Award (general category) in 2000 and the Grand Prize of the sixth Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in 2002. It has no anime adaptation.
